‘Love Island’ contestant axed from show over alleged gay porn past

A contestant on CBS’s “Love Island” has suddenly exited the show over alleged undisclosed participation in gay porn.

Noah Purvis, a 24-year-old healthcare provider and bodybuilder from St. Louis, Mo., joined the second season on the popular matchmaking show late last week, but was removed just a few days later.

According to a CBS description, the series brings a group of single islanders to a stunning villa in Las Vegas, to “embark on a summer of dating, romance, and ultimately, relationships.”

Entertainment Tonight reported that Purvis was one of three new contestants — called “islanders” — to join the cast on day 26. He first appeared on the Sept. 17 episode.

Shortly after his first appearance on the hit heterosexual dating show, however, some Twitter users shared pictures that appear to show Purvis on videos released by the gay adult film studio Corbin Fisher.

By Sept. 20, he had already exited the villa.

Under the stage name of Ethan, Purvis allegedly participated in a series of videos for the studio. His latest one appears to have been released this month, according to ScreenRant.

Producers haven’t addressed why Purvis suddenly went missing on Sunday’s episode, but in a statement, CBS and ITV America later confirmed he’d been removed from the show.

“It has been brought to our attention that cast member Noah Purvis provided false information on his application to Love Island, which violates his contestant agreement,” the statement read.
