Canada's deputy chief public health officer Dr. Howard Njoo on Tuesday said that the cases of the new COVID-19 variant first found in the U.K. were found in people observing quarantine requirements, but said "other variants of concern will likely be found in Canada." While he did not specify what other types of variants could be found, there have been others reported in other countries including South Africa and show why people must ensure they follow quarantine measure to reduce the potential spread.
