Founded in 2016, Cloudworks helps clients implement Oracle Cloud-based solutions in enterprise resource planning, enterprise performance management, supply chain management, and human capital management. The firm also helps organizations integrate robotic process automation and data analytics & AI solutions.

Cloudworks serves clients in a wide range of industries. The firm has approximately 100 employees, with the majority located in Toronto. Cloudworks has another Canadian office in Calgary, as well as eight offices in the US.

Accenture’s acquisition of Cloudworks will strengthen its Oracle consulting capabilities in North America. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“As organizations across Canada continue to accelerate their technology transformation programs, we anticipate the demand for Oracle solutions to grow significantly,” said Jeffrey Russell, president of Accenture Canada. “By acquiring Cloudworks, we add a highly talented team with industry-specific experience in combining the power of Oracle with the ingenuity of people to unlock new possibilities for clients.”

The Cloudworks team will join Accenture’s technology practice in Canada. The Dublin-based technology consultancy has thousands of Oracle-specialized consultants worldwide, and 569,000 people overall. The firm has consulted on Oracle solutions for more than 30 years and is an Oracle Cloud Global Elite Partner.

“With Accenture’s in-depth capabilities, global scale, and experience co-creating and co-developing Oracle solutions, we look forward to delivering greater value for clients, as well as opening up new opportunities for our people,” Jason Nott, co-founder and CEO of Cloudworks, said.

Accenture Canada last year acquired Avenai, an Ottawa-based management and technology consultancy focusing on the public sector, and Callisto Integration, an Ottawa-headquartered consulting firm focusing on digital manufacturing services.

Accenture’s other Oracle-focused bolt-ons in 2021 are Nell’Armonia, a France-based enterprise performance management specialist, and AppsPro, a Saudi Arabia-based Oracle Cloud implementation service provider.
